Our MINIMUM pledge
CANDID believes the safari industry has a responsibility not only to improve existing standards, but to create opportunities for the next generation of guides. For every 10 lodges that join the CANDID platform, we will fully fund the professional training of one aspiring guide who comes from difficult circumstances and would otherwise not have access to the industry.
Each selected candidate will receive:
Full sponsorship of their FGASA Level 1 training
Professional field footwear supplied by Jim Green
Guiding clothing and workwear supplied by Jonsson Workwear
A starter library of essential wildlife and field guidebooks
Our goal is simple: to help create better guides, stronger livelihoods and a more accessible safari industry for talented individuals who deserve an opportunity.
